Benefit High Beam Luminescent Complexion Enhancer, 15ML, £19.50
The first thing I decided I wanted was something from the Benefit counter since I'm always too broke to afford most things from there that I want. I had a little look around and stumbled across this 'High Beam Complexion Enhancer'. This is essentially a highlighter and I have heard loads of good things about this. At the moment I am using the Soap & Glory 'Arch De Triumph' eyebrow pencil and highlighter. I really hate the this product, especially the highlighter pencil because its so crumbly and lumpy and always creases and never stays on and doesn't rub in well (the list is endless), but I just never got round to buying a new, decent one. So I thought this was my perfect opportunity for buying a new highlighter. It come's in a pot that actually looks a little bit like a nail polish and the applicator is a brush, again like a nail polish. I sampled this product in the shop and I love it already. It's a subtly beautiful shimmery pink colour and as soon as I used it I noticed an enhanced glow on my skin, which I loved! The actual highlighter is really liquidy which I liked as it is completely different to the Soap & Glory one I was previously using, and it melted into the skin so easily. I would recommend this product and I've only just bought it! And in addition the packaging is absolutely gorgeous.
No7 Beautiful Skin Night Cream for Dry / Very Dry, 50ML, £13.50
The second thing I bought was this 'No7 Beautiful Skin Night Cream'. One of the main reasons I bought this is because I had a voucher for £5 off No7 skincare which I thought I would make the most of. Personally I have really dry, scaly skin, especially in the winter, so I picked this up in the hope that it might help to fix this while I'm sleeping, since I know that No7 skincare is meant to be really high quality and works very well. The places where I get the worst dry is on my nose and between my eyebrows. Recently I have been using E45 cream from the pharmacy upon recommendation from a friend, which is actually really helping to moisturise my skin along with my trusty Neutrogena, Norwegian Flag formula body emulsion. I really hope this works and I will keep you posted on if it does, along with the rest of these items.
Neutrogena Visibly Clear Pink Grapefruit Facial Wash, 200ML, £4.44, Daily Scrub, 150ML, £3.99, Cream Wash, 150ML, £4.04
While I was in skincare I thought I would pick up some new cleansers and scrubs. The first thing that caught my eye was this range form Neutrogena due to the the pretty pink packaging. I was also attracted to this as I already know I love the Neutrogena brand for my dry skin. I gave it a sniff and it smalls amazing, just like sweet pink grapefruit. It reminds me of a slightly sweeter pink grapefruit range from The Body Shop, which I would definitely tell you to try because it smells beautiful. I chose the cream wash, the facial cleanser and the face scrub. Th facial cleanser is probably my most sensible pick as on dry skin a gentle cleanser works best. I hope these work as well as they smell.
Sanctuary Moisture Boosting Mask, 15ML Sachet, £2.50
The next thing I picked up at boots is this face mask from Sanctuary's spa range. This one claims to be moisture boosting which obviously attracted be due to my dry skin. It also says that it is brightening which will always seem attractive to me and I hope it will smell gorgeous like the other Sanctuary products which I adore the smell of. I really hate peel-off masks because to me I can never get all of it off in one go then I keep on finding remainders of the mask throughout the day. They are just really not for me, but I do know that is extremely important to use a deep cleansing mask every once in a while to clean out your pores and any dirt that you may not be reaching in your normal skin routine, so I'm always on the look out for a non-peel, high quality mask. This one has ticked all the boxes at this point. I assume it's a wash off mask, it's a well-known good quality spa brand and I know that it will smell gorgeous. I hope this is as good as I hope it will be. Again I will try to keep you up to date on how I find this product. I must admit this is a bit pricey per mask for a weekly use, but I think for a treat once in a while it will be perfect. They always stock different types of Sanctuary at Boots so if you don't want this moisturizing one there are loads of different types to choose from, for example an age-defying one, or a skin perfecting one. The packaging is also really attractive to me.
Essie Nail Polish In 'Eternal Optimist'(Lighter) And 'In Stitches'(Darker), 13.5ML, £7.99
Since this is a Boots haul, to me it wouldn't be complete without buying some nail varnish. Since I had quite a bit of money to spend I went for the ridiculously overpriced Essie polishes. I do think they are worth it because of the amazing silky finish this brand gives you. I chose two subtly red polishes from the Essie range. I think the lighter one is perfect for spring and the darker a good everyday colour for your nails. There is not really much I can say about these except that I really enjoy the finish of them and I love these colours I have picked.
L'Oréal Paris True Match Touche Magique Concealer, £8.19
The next product I bought is a new concealer. At the moment I am using Collection's 'Lasting Perfection Concealer' which is really good, but for me it turns out a bit too chalky on my skin and really makes my dry skin look worse, so I decided I would but a new, cheap concealer. I have sampled the YSL light enhancing concealer which I love but it is very pricey,so I set out to buy a jupe for it. I went for this one because it had a brush applicator and the actual product was very watery, which is what I like and I think it will be easy to rub in well. I also tested the foundation that matches this concealer since my favourite 'Wake Me Up' has finally run out, but decided against buying it as I am currently using BB cream in a desperate attempt to add a little moisture into my face. I also the packaging is very classy and I automatically wanted to purchase it.
Rimmel Match Perfection Fix & Perfect Primer, 30ML, £4.99
The last product is a re-purchase. I really like this primer because you can feel it working on your face and it work very well with my BB cream from the same brand. There's not really much to say about this, but personally I really like it.
That's it for my favorites, I hope you enjoyed them and it gave you some clues on what to buy if you venture into Boots soon. Just on a side note I am going to try and post once a month on this blog. Please enjoy my reviews :-)
